Marc was excited because he's a big Braves fan-it helps that they are leading their division right now. We have had these tickets since April, and Marc knows David Ross- the Braves back-up catcher who was playing that night. Marc and David went to school together for some years, and they played basketball together in their younger days. Marc describes David as an "all-around athlete"- just naturally talented and now getting paid millions for it.
Here we are playing with Addy- who is adorable-and made it on the Jumbo Tron that night! She is 13 months and was a trooper at the game considering we kept her up past her bedtime. She reminds me of three other "little girls" I know...miss you AG, EC, and AK.
She loved Marc's hat...even though it was a Braves hat! We think we may have converted her to cheer for "our" team. Before you know it, she'll be saying "War Eagle" and "Go Noles"...K-State Wildcats who??
Even though the Braves lost 5-2...it was an exciting game. At this point, they are 3 games ahead of the Phillies. I have a feeling we'll be watching some more baseball in the weeks to come...only if it doesn't interfere with our college football schedule.
Booo...Go Phillies! Just kidding. They are pretty horrible this year. Paul is teaching Connor all the Philly players. It's funny when we are watching a game to hear Connor says "hey there is ___". I guess I have to become more of a sports fan since I'm really out-numbered in my family. We are getting all geared up for the first Notre Dame game on Saturday. This is the first year that Connor is really excited.
ReplyDeleteAnyway...I love reading your blog. I'm so happy that you guys or I mean ya'll are having a blast on your adventures in CO. Your pictures are beautiful. I have always wanted to visit CO and go skiing.
Take care and have a great weekend.
xoxo,
Kristin
I love that you're reading our blog! Thanks! It really is great out here, but they're all about the NFL...no one really cares about college football! We are totally sitting on the couch all day Saturday to watch the games. It's fun that Connor is old enough to understand all the "sports stuff". I know Paul is loving that!
ReplyDeleteI was thinkig about you last week and all your PA school system woes! It's terrible out here too...so many hoops to jump through. It's ridiculous. Anyway- it's starting to settle out for me...I hope it's working out for you too!
Enjoy your weekend too!!
